When: Sunday, May 23, 3:00 P.M.
The program will begin with the Lincolnwood Chamber Orchestra, Philip Simmons, conductor, performing the American premier of Dimitri Nenov’s Miniatures, and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto #3 with virtuoso Bulgarian pianist Victoria Vassilenko. The second part will feature the Dance Ensemble “Horo,” Irina and Todor Gochev, Artistic Directors, and the Bulgarian Folk Orchestra “Kolorit” with soloist Temenushka Zhekova. There will also be a pictorial exhibit of the Slavonic Alphabet, created by Bulgarian children in Chicago. The program is presented in partnership by American Music Festivals and the Bulgarian American Heritage Center, nonprofits committed to cultural exchange. Free parking.
