Paris. The Louvre Museum, and its director Henri Loyrette in particular, has assumed very wide and contemporary understanding of the future cultural communication in Europe and opened to the cultural and historical heritage of countries like Bulgaria. This is worthy of them, Bulgarian ambassador to Paris Marin Raykov said in an interview with Fokus News Agency, commenting on the agreement recently inked by Bulgarian Culture Minister Vezhdi Rashidov and Louvre Director Henri Loyrette.
“This is a huge success for Bulgaria and we owe it to two things – first, the features of the Bulgarian culture, our extremely rich cultural and historical heritage. Second, of course, the activity and persistence with which Minister Rashidov, the Bulgarian institutions and government stand up for Bulgaria’s place on the European map of culture,” said the ambassador.
What the ministries of culture and foreign affairs are doing now can strengthen Bulgaria’s presence on the cultural arena of Paris in the next few years, he added.
