Borissov is most influential Bulgarian, local edition of Forbes magazine says
Prime Minister and leader of centre-right ruling party GERB Boiko Borissov is the most influential Bulgarian, according to a ranking including 30 people compiled by the local edition of Forbes magazine.
Among the 30, from politics, business and civil society, Corporate Commercial Bank majority shareholder Tsvetan Vassilev ranked second.
There was only one woman on the list, Tsvetelina Borislavova, majority shareholder of Bulgarian American Credit Bank, in 10th place.
The ranking was based on the same criteria used by Forbes for several years – among others, how many people does the particular person have power over, what financial resources does the person control, how actively is the person taking advantage of their power and resources in order to change Bulgaria.
Tseko Minev, one of the founders and major shareholders at First Investment Bank (Fibank) was ranked 13th. Levon Hampartzoumian, CEO of UniCredit Bulbank, was in 22nd place.
