Bulgaria was the NATO member who spent the least for defense during last year, according to information released by the Alliance.
The gross defense spending of the 28 members of the block during 2011 was USD 1.38 T, which is a decrease with respect to 2010, when they spent USD 1.81 T, writes Russian agency Rosbalt.
According to NATO data, the USA was by far the biggest defense spender, diving close to USD 732 B.
The data show that the smallest defense spender in NATO for 2011 was Bulgaria, followed by Belgium.
