The Americans won the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup Sunday at Vancouver’s BC Place after hammering Japan 5-2 behind a Carli Lloyd first half hat-trick. Lauren Holiday and Tobin Heath had the other goals for the United States who won their third Women’s World Cup, and first since 1999 on home soil.
