The Yiddish theater of the 1920’s, and popular Yiddish songs from 1920’s-1930’s, are delivered by the Maxwell Street Klezmer Band and vocalist Etel Melamed, along with Israeli, Sephardic, Russian songs and Etel’s original compositions.
You don’t have to speak Yiddish to love Klezmer, and you don’t have to be Jewish to love Maxwell Street!
