UCCA’s Illinois Division
The Illinois Division, often referred to as the “Chicago Division”, traces it’s roots back to 1949 when it was established under the name “League of Americans of Ukrainian Descent”.
In 1974 the League was formally incorporated under the umbrella of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America.
Today, the Illinois Division is one of the most active divisions in the USA and the largest contributor to UCCA’s Ukrainian National Information Service (UNIS).
The UCCA’s mission is to support cultural, educational, and humanitarian activities that emphasize the Ukrainian American heritage and provide support for Ukraine’s newly developing democracy.
