About our guests:
Dimitar Hristov is a composer, arranger & conductor for the Folk Music Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio. Mr. Hristov also teaches at the National Music Academy “Pancho Vladigerov” in Sofia, Bulgaria. His wife, Evelina Hristova, is a soloist in “The Mystery of Bulgarian Voices” & “Eva Quartet.” Eva is also a Bulgarian folk singing teacher at “Narodni Buditeli” high school in Sofia. Together, these fine artists will share their expertise in technique, style and composition of music and song of Bulgarian folklore.
About our Ensemble:
Otets Paissii Performing Folk Ensemble will be celebrating 70 years in 2025. Under the direction of Bilyana Stoyanova Stafura, Artistic Director, and Beth A. Stafura, Managing Director, the Ensemble is comprised of 40+ performers who perpetuate the Bulgarian and Macedonian culture, share their talents and knowledge of dance, song and music, and enjoy dazzling audiences across the country.
